Coach's Edge
The Kings will try to counter Shaquille O'Neal's size and strength by bringing Vlade Divac away from the basket. Divac has a nice outside shot, and Shaq has to respect him when he pops out. That will open up the interior for guys like Chris Webber to cash in.

(A) Chris Webber (4) and Vlade Divac (21) start outside to get the Lakers' big guys out of the paint. Jason Williams (55) dribbles off a Webber screen and looks to dribble-penetrate on the left side.

(B) Divac (21) slides down the backside and into the short corner off a staggered double from Corliss Williamson (34) and Nick Anderson (25). Divac's touch forces Shaq to fight through the screens. If he doesn't, Divac knocks down the short jumper every time.
