MURRAY, Ky. (AP) _ Tim Linville had two short touchdown runs and Justin Fuente threw for 280 yards and one touchdown to lead Murray State to a 37-32 victory over Eastern Illinois on Saturday. The Racers (3-3, 3-1 Ohio Valley Conference) took a 23-22 lead in the closing seconds of the first half on Jermaine Manning's 4-yard touchdown burst, which followed a quick-strike score by Eastern Illinois. Eastern Illinois (1-6, 1-2 OVC) briefly led 22-17 when Frank Cutolo returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown. Murray State opened a 30-22 lead when Fuente connected with Terrence Tillman for a 33-yard touchdown pass with 10:28 left in the third quarter. Eastern Illinois answered with a 44-yard Chad Larner field goal before Murray State widened its lead to 37-25 on Linville's 2-yard touchdown run. Eastern Illinois closed the scoring on Anthony Buich's 49-yard scoring pass to Cutolo with 9:11 left. Eastern took an early 10-0 lead on Jabarey McDavid's 2-yard touchdown run and Larner's 49-yard field goal. The Racers pulled even on Greg Miller's 42-yard field goal and a 1-yard TD run by Linville. Manning rushed 25 times for 135 yards for Murray State. Eastern Illinois was held to 93 yards rushing, while Buich threw for 264 yards.
