PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Steve Campbell caught four touchdown passes and James Perry threw for 440 yards and five touchdowns to become the Ivy League's career-leader in passing yardage as Brown held off Pennsylvania, 44-37 on Saturday.

Brown (5-1, 3-1) took a 44-23 lead late into the fourth quarter before Penn (3-3, 2-1) scored twice to cut the deficit to seven points. Penn quarterback Gavin Hoffman hit Rob Milanese from 43 yards out for a touchdown, and following an onsides kick, Hoffmann passed to John Holahan for a 10-yard score with 25 seconds left in the game.

Brown recovered the next onsides kick and ran out the clock.

Perry, who hit on 31-of-50 passes, already holds the league career-record for completions (665) and touchdowns (65). The senior has thrown for 8,031 yards, eclipsing the mark of 7,849 set by Columbia's John Witkowski in 1981-1983.

Campbell had 10 catches for 190 yards, while Mike Malan rushed for 128 yards to help the Bruins amass 557 yards in total offense.

Penn had closed an 11-point Brown lead to 28-23 with 5:58 left in the third quarter after Kris Ryan's 2-yard TD run. But three minutes later, Perry hit Campbell for a 41-yard scoring pass, and a blocked punt by Brad Grulke in the fourth quarter set up another Perry-to-Campbell touchdown to help Brown take 21-point lead late in the fourth quarter.
