BOX SCORE
HOUSTON (AP) _ Jamaal Foster scored on a seven-yard run with 4:02 remaining in the game, giving Prarie View A&M its third win in 87 games as the Panthers defeated Panhandle State 21-20 on Saturday. Foster's game-winning touchdown came after a 35-yard completion to Marcus Ballard three plays before. Panhandle State (0-7) had an opportunity to mount a comeback after Foster's score, but couldn't convert on a fourth down-and-18 at their own 45-yard line. ``It was an ugly win, but we'll take it anyway we can get one,'' said Prarie View interim head coach Clifton Gilliard. ``Once we got it together, we were able to have some success.'' Prarie View (2-5) held Panhandle State to 217 offensive yards, including just 27 passing yards on 2-of-9 passing by quarterback Jarre Rouanzoin. Rouanzoin finished with 61 rushing yards and scored touchdown runs of 70 and 5 yards. Prarie View used quarterbacks Josh Barnes and Foster to compile 245 passing yards. Foster also added two rushing scores.
