CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) _ Brant Billon's six-yard touchdown run with less than seven minutes to play Saturday gave Tennessee Tech a 14-7 win over Eastern Illinois. Eastern Illinois (1-7, 1-3 Ohio Valley) earned a 7-0 lead on J.R. Taylor's one-yard plunge in the second quarter. The Golden Eagles (5-1, 4-0) came back in the final period on a 13-yard pass from Grant Swallows to Craig Melton to tie the score at 7-7. Tech forced Eastern to punt on the next series and the Eagles drove 54 yards in nine plays for the winning TD with 6:27 left. The Panthers had a chance to score again as they took the ball down to the Eagles' 28, but Jabarey McDavid fumbled and Tech's Desmond Irvin recovered the ball with 1:35 left. Eastern quarterback Anthony Buich was 15-of-31 passing for 173 yards, but he was sacked three times. Swallows was 13-of-24 for only 137 yards but he had no interceptions and no sacks.
