PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) _ Charles Dunn ran for 100 yards while playing only two quarters to help Portland State to a 34-21 victory over Cal State-Northridge Saturday night. Dunn entered the game needing only 174 yards to become PSU's all-time rushing leader. He sat out most of the first half with a sore right shoulder. With Dunn on the sidelines, backup running back Duane Goree ran for 49 yards on 11 carries in the first half. The Vikings (8-2 overall, 7-1 Big Sky) also got a big lift from seldom-used fullback Steve Jakubowski, who scored two first-half touchdowns. Jakubowski's second touchdown made it 21-14 early in the second quarter. Dan Frantz added a pair of field goals to make it 27-14 early in the third quarter. Cal State (5-4, 4-3) held its only lead when Jaumal Bradley scored a three-yard touchdown five minutes into the game. Cal State quarterback Marcus Brady who came in averaging 329 yards a game passing, completed only 15 of 32 attempts for 256 yards. Dunn, who played almost the entire second half, ran for a 4-yard toucddown to give PSU a 34-14 advantage one minute into the fourth period. Dunn now needs 213 yards to set a single-season school rushing record. PSU quarterback Jimmy Blanchard set an NCAA record for the most passes without an interception. He now has thrown 310 passes without getting one picked off. He finished the game 17 of 32 for 191 yards but failed to throw for a touchdown for the first time since the season opener against Fresno State.
