BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) _ Matt Bunsey returned a blocked punt 24 yards for a touchdown and Brandon Hicks had a 20-yard fumble return for another as Bowling Green beat winless Ball State 35-14 Saturday. Bunsey gave the Falcons (4-6, 3-5 Mid-American Conference) a 14-7 lead with 2:18 remaining in the first quarter, and Hicks' TD closed the scoring with 7:58 left in the game. Nick Dunbar's 4-yard run early in the first quarter gave Ball State (0-10, 0-7) a 7-0 lead. Bowling Green tied it on Godrey Lewis' 11-yard run with 5:04 left the half, then took the lead for good on Bunsey's return. Ball State's Brian Conn was 18-of-29 for 254 yards, including a 31-yard TD pass to Adrian Reese in the second quarter that pulled the Cardinals within 21-14. Andy Sahm's 16-yard scoring pass to Kevin Steinke gave Bowling Green a 28-14 lead. Joe Alls gained 155 yards on 25 carries for Bowling Green, while Lewis added 57 yards on 12 attempts.
