ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) _ Derek O'Neal had a career-high 252 rushing yards, including one touchdown, Saturday to lead South Carolina State to a 34-14 victory over Delaware State. Delaware State (3-7 overall, 3-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) took the lead in the first quarter when Rashann Matthew connected with Albert Hosey on a 61-yard touchdown pass. But the Bulldogs (4-5, 2-4) dominated the rest of the game, scoring 17 unanswered points in the second quarter on rushing touchdowns by O'Neal and quarterback Craig James and a 32-yard field goal by Jay Livingston. Matthew scored Delaware State's second touchdown on a 7-yard run in the third quarter. Fullback Chad Eaddy added 105 rushing yards for the Bulldogs, including two second-half touchdowns. Livingston added a second field goal in the fourth quarter.
