JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) _ Greg Hill rushed for three touchdowns and Adrian Peterson rushed for 168 yards and another score as Georgia Southern defeated Jacksonville State 51-14 on Saturday. The Eagles (9-2) scored two touchdowns in the first quarter, both by Hill on runs of 12 and 6 yards, and added three more before halftime. They included Hill's third score, a 32-yard run, and David Young's 24-yard return of a blocked punt. The Gamecocks (2-7) managed only one touchdown in the first half, a 22-yard pass from Reggie Stancil to Cedric Allen. Georgia Southern's offense kept rolling in the second half, scoring on Josh Smithers' 37-yard interception return, a team safety and J.R. Revere's 1-yard dash to the endzone. Stancil, who finished 20-of-42 with 249 yards and one interception, hit Lorenzo Banks with an 11-yard pass for another Jacksonville State touchdown. Georgia Southern rushed for 366 yards, while the Gamecocks had only 39 yards on the ground. Peterson's 168 yards marking the 26th consecutive game in which he has rushed for more than 100 yards. Hill has 72 yards rushing. The Gamecocks' Yeasive Ware had six receptions for 108 yards.
