TULSA, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Andy Chance passed for 258 yards and a touchdown and also ran for a score as Louisiana-Monroe closed its season with a 37-34 victory over Tulsa.

Chance, who completed 25-of-35 passes and rushed for 122 yards on 21 carries, tossed a 27-yard TD strike to Kond Allen with 5:10 remaining in the fourth quarter to give the Indians a 37-27 lead.

Tulsa (2-8) answered on the following play from scrimmage as Josh Blankenship threw a 68-yard TD pass to Donald Shoals. But Louisiana-Monroe (5-6) held on to even the all-time series at one win apiece. Tulsa posted a 37-35 victory in 1997.

Blankenship was 12-of-27 for 219 yards with two interceptions while John Mosley rushed for 216 yards on 17 carries for the Golden Hurricane. However, Tulsa's other rushers were limited to just 16 yards on 12 carries.

Louisiana-Monroe was coming off a loss to Louisiana Tech that ended its hopes of finishing with a winning record for the first time since making the jump to Division I-A in 1994.

Tulsa, which snapped a six-game losing streak last week, grabbed a 20-10 halftime lead on Ken Bohanon's short TD runs of one and two yards in the second period.

The Indians took control in the third quarter, grabbing a 23-20 lead on Michael Mitchell's three-yard TD run and safety Cedric Robinson's 64-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Mitchell ran for 52 yards on 22 carries and added eight catches for 60 yards.
