TEMPE, Ariz. -- Nebraska tight end Tracey Wistrom, trying to
return from a Nov. 29 knee injury, is looking doubtful for the Jan.
2 Fiesta Bowl contest against Tennessee.
The Cornhuskers' third-leading receiver feel while running his
first route and Monday and couldn't finish practice on Tuesday.
"I'm not ruling him out," coach Frank Solich said, "but it's
getting to the point where he's got to make significant progress."
Nebraska starting quarterback Eric Crouch also make be ailing.
He took only limited snaps on Tuesday because of flu-like symptoms
and left practice with ice wrapped around his ankle.
On the other hand, it was a long day that started at 6:15 a.m.
for breakfast and didn't end until 5 p.m. after a practice in full
pads at nearby Scottsdale Community College.
"I think we're all worn out a bit," said split end Matt
Davison. "We've been getting after it in practice here and back in
Lincoln."
