Croshaw left the team Wednesday night and returned to Salt Lake City, where he was married Thursday to Kirsten Kingery, a student assistant trainer.

The wedding had been planned long before the couple knew Utah would be playing in Saturday's bowl game. Because of the difficulty in setting another wedding date at the Mormon Temple and the money committed for arrangements, the two went ahead with the wedding though they rescheduled a Friday night reception for next week.

Croshaw, who is expected to start, and his bride will fly back to Las Vegas and rejoin the team early Friday.

"I think he planned this to get a free honeymoon in Las Vegas," joked teammate John Frank. "He's no dummy. But I think he should have just come down here and gotten married by Elvis, or something. But I guess T.D. being T.D., he probably wanted something more meaningful."

McBride said Thursday's workout was light and the team has already done most of its preparation for the bowl in the three weeks since the regular season ended.

"If this was a Thursday where we had one week to prepare for a team, it would be like a crisis," McBride said.

Darnell Arceneaux, who has been cleared to play Saturday after missing the last two games with a serious concussion, took most of the practice snaps at quarterback.

Arceneaux said he's happy and fortunate to get back on the field and is even happier for Croshaw.

"It's a great day for T.D. and his family," he said. "I wish him and his wife, Kirsten, the best of luck. I just know he's going to have a big smile on his face when he gets back here. He's a great guy."
