PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Cal Bouchard scored 20 points and Jamie
Cournoyer added five of her 15 during a key second-half run as
No. 19 Boston College defeated Big East Conference foe
Pittsburgh, 66-52.
Bouchard hit 6-of-11 shots, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range,
for Boston College (21-6, 10-3 Big East), which shot 49 percent
from the field (27-of-55).
The Eagles led by just one with 16:57 left before using a 10-0
run to build a 45-34 cushion with 12:38 to play. Cournoyer
scored five points with a three-point play and layup.
Pittsburgh (14-10, 5-8) trailed by at least eight points the
rest of the way.
Alissa Murphy grabbed nine rebounds and Adriana Spears added six
-- all on the offensive glass -- for Boston College, which held
a 37-28 advantage on the boards. Spears chipped in 11 points
off the bench.
Monique Toney scored 11 points and Dallas Williams and Brooke
Stewart added 10 apiece for the Panthers, who shot 40 percent
(21-of-52).
Both teams totaled 22 turnovers.
