NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Phylesha Whaley scored 22 points as
Oklahoma (No. 22 ESPN/USA Today, No. 21 AP) beat Oklahoma State 77-68 on Wednesday night to clinch a share of the Big 12 regular-season title.
The Sooners hit only 10-of-37 shots in the first half, compared
to 52 percent from the field by the Cowgirls (13-15, 5-11 Big 12
Conference), who had a 37-35 advantage at the intermission.
Oklahoma (23-6, 13-3) was 15-of-28 after intermission and was
8-of-11 from the free throw line.
Whaley added seven rebounds and five assists for Oklahoma, which
also got 19 points and nine rebounds from LaNeishea Caufield and 13
points, three rebounds and four assists from Stacey Dales.
Jessica Bates had 28 points and 13 rebounds for Oklahoma State. Jennifer Crow added 17 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.
The Cowgirls were only 13-of-36 in the second half and had 19 turnovers in the game.
