BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (Ticker) -- Marie Ferdinand scored 20 points, leading four players in double figures, as 14th-ranked Louisiana State held off Tulane, 68-61.

Roneeka Hodges finished with 15 points, Kisha James added 14 and Doneeka Hodges 12 for the Fightin' Tigers (4-3), who won their second straight after back-to-back losses.

LSU shot just under 36 percent (22-of-62) from the field and was outrebounded, 49-38, but benefited from 27 trips to the free throw line, hitting 19.

Janell Burse was a force for the Green Wave (4-5), scoring 24 points and grabbing 19 rebounds. She hit 11-of-20 from the field but her teammates combined to hit just 33 percent (15-of-46).

The Fightin' Tigers committed just six turnovers and made six steals, including three by Doneeka Hodges and two by her twin sister, Roneeka.
