CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Filip Kuba and rookie Maxim Sushinsky scored in a 2:07 span late in the third period as the expansion Minnesota Wild rallied for a 4-4 exhibition tie with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Kuba started Minnesota's comeback with a power-play goal with 7:20 remaining. Sushinsky, a fifth-round pick in the 2000 draft, tied it with 5:13 to play, getting his first preseason goal.

Coming off back-to-back shutout losses, the Wild grabbed a 1-0 lead early in the first period on a power-play goal by former Blackhawk Sergei Krivokrasov.

But Josef Marha and Valeri Zelepukin scored 35 seconds apart to put Chicago on top. Darby Hendrickson tied it for the Wild before the end of the period.

The Blackhawks again struck quickly midway through the second period, getting goals from Tony Amonte and Eric Daze in a 79-second span. But Chicago failed to convert on 11 power-play chances, including three two-man advantages.

Jamie McLennan stopped 24 shots for Minnesota, while Jocelyn Thibault made 25 saves for the Blackhawks.
