ESPN golf analyst Andy North wants to help users make sense of it all. In his weekly column, North will answer three user questions about the game of golf and its many players, rules and traditions.

North is a two-time
U.S. Open champ.

North is a two-time winner of the U.S. Open championships (1978 at Cherry Hills in Denver, 1985 at Oakland Hills in Birmingham, Mich.). He turned professional in 1972 after graduating with a bachelor of arts degree in marketing and finance from the University of Florida, where he was a three-time All-American. North also played in the Ryder Cup (1985) and the World Cup (1978) events, and won the PGA Tour's 1977 Westchester Classic.
