Down 10-6 heading into the singles competition, U.S. captain Ben Crenshaw told reporters he believed in fate. Earlier in the week, he said he had a hunch Justin Leonard would come up big. How true he was. Leonard, who struggled all week, made a 45-foot putt on the 17th hole to clinch the biggest comeback in Ryder Cup history.
